Data protection policy

DATA PROTECTION POLICY

1. Processing of personal data

In its processing of personal data, the CONSEJO REGULADOR D.O.Ca RIOJA guarantees compliance with Organic Act 15/1999, of 13 December 1999, on the Protection of Personal Data and its regulations for implementation, primarily comprising Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December 2007, which approves the said Regulations. The purpose of these laws is to guarantee and protect the public liberties and fundamental rights of individuals in terms of the processing of their personal data, particularly their honour and personal and family privacy.

Through its website or by other means (e.g. social media), the CONSEJO REGULADOR D.O.Ca RIOJA sometimes gathers data of a personal nature. In all cases these data shall be adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the scope and purposes explicitly and legitimately determined for which they are collected.

Users are free to provide, or not, the data that may be requested from them whenever they request information, subscribe to or register for any of the services offered by the CONSEJO REGULADOR D.O.Ca RIOJA on this website or any other platform.

In order to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the personal data provided, the CONSEJO REGULADOR D.O.Ca RIOJA has implemented the organizational and technical security measures necessary to prevent the modification, loss, unauthorized processing and unauthorized access to these data in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 1720/2007, of 21 December 2007, approving the Regulations implementing the LOPD. However, Users should bear in mind that due to the global nature of the internet, security measures are not impregnable.

4. Users’ rights

The owner of the data may exercise his/her right to access, rectify, cancel or oppose the use of these data. To do so, users should send a signed letter to the CONSEJO REGULADOR D.O.Ca RIOJA at Calle Estambrera 52, Logroño 26006. This request should contain the following details: name and surname, address for the purpose of notifications, photocopy of the national identity document or passport, and the request statement. If the person concerned is being represented by another, the same details and document must be provided.
